They did reissue the inverted Jenny stamp in 2013 so I don't have to use a replica. I decided against putting it in the slab. I don't think it'll work so I'll probably use a presentation case of some sort

I don't know who makes stamps maybe the bureau of engraving and printing? Has to be a first recreation of one of their errors I would think. That opens the door for a legit recreation of any major error on coins also right? What would be the coin equivalent? 1909 S VDB 1955 DDO 1969 DDO? Or maybe the Sacagawea mule die clash? So many big ones out there

A 1943 S-2023 S bronze Lincoln would have been nice for this year. And a steel version for next year. 80th anniversary

It just occured to me - why are you calling this an "inverted jenny"?

The die clash of the plane is inverted in relation to the normally oriented obverse

When the obverse is inverted the plane appears right side up for easier identification

That's a strong clash, nice find RW. The inverted Jenny would be a find of a life time, can't remember all the details on how the collector was able to get out of the Post Office with the sheet he purchased, selling it for $15,000 back in 1918 was like winning a big lottery today.

Thanks macmercury. Crazy story and even crazier they reissued the error 95 years later to commemorate the mistake
