Nice start you should be able to fill a lot of those holes. Personally I'm having a hard time finding 2000 - 2008 just about ready to give up and buy them. So I suggest you keep all 2000 coins (maybe you could sell them to me). Seeking:To complete JFK Collection Rainman

I bought 2000 uncs (year, not quantity ) on ebay for $1 each with free shipping. Not bad, I thought.

Oh, and Rainman, if I happen to find any 2000's, they've got your name on them, but I guess you shouldn't hold your breath.

Quote: My kids and I have the Whitman folders, and we are very short I don't see what height has to do with coin collecting ,now that I'm done with the joking around, let me suggest variety hunting, first learn what a normal coin looks like then when you find one that doesn't quite fit the normal look you might have a variety. Okay, so the box is done. I'm guessing it was a good box. Here's what I found:
1950D - 1 1965 - 1 1967 - 3 1968D - 1
I also got 18 of the coins off of my need list including 2006D and 2008 P & D.
Rainman, I've got the following:
2000 x 12 2000D x 2 2001P x 1 2001D x 3 2008D x 1
They are yours if you want them. You can have them for face plus shipping. PM me if interested.
I also have about $55 in bicentennials. Are they even worth keeping? Is there any value above face for them?
Oh, and the most interesting thing I found was a two-headed bicentennial half. I was examining it quite thoroughly, and I can't see how it was done. It's pretty neat. If I can get the camera working, I'll load up pics of the finds, but don't count on it.

If you drop the two headed half on a counter it will have a hollow sound (usually). Compare that sound with a regular one that you are taking back to the bank. They should have a different sound.

John...I thought the same thing at first...too short to see the coins?. Is the table top too high for ya. (no offense intended to our vertically challenged members). Ha!.

Well, my kids are 6 and 7, so they are actually quite short. I'm 5'10", so while not very tall, I don't think I fall into the 'short' category either. Funny, though, John.

SJUHawks, I'm only 5'7 so I probably would be considered short,it's nice to know that you are getting you youngsters interested at such an early age.I hope I didn't offend you or your kids, that certainly was not my intention. Sincerely, John1
