Quote: (ps. If you click on the photo at the link you should be able to get it to enlarge.) In the enlarged view, there is a Brightness button. After all of the years of using Heritage, just noticed that today.

Never noticed it either! Anyway, I wish Dr. coop was still around to explain stuff like this.

I assume it's a combination of circulation wear and the fact that it was struck out of collar (decreased striking pressure due to outward metal movement).
I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Thanks everyone. Looking a little closer after posting I would agree with Tanman about the circulation and maybe a low pressure strike.
I just assumed the denticles were supposed to be at the same level as the bust and it looked like they were missing.

All is well with this coin, which is only a smidge off-center and suffers from a fingerprint. Not a worth a big premium to me in this grade especially.

Currently at $60 with buyers premium. Definitely not worth it to me.

It's a cool coin, but definitely not worth paying 60 dollars, in my opinion.

Tough date for errors - what'd it end up selling for?

This coin reminded me of my 1892 IHC error. Mine was a similar minor off center, but had a reverse indent. It sold on HA for 250! I got it for much less when it came up on ebay.

So somebody bought this coin on Heritage for 250, then took a loss for it on ebay? wow ok.

What's with the apparent S mintmark on this coin?
