You may have filed this one already but I was looking at this thread again and I noticed 2-3 bumps along the inside of the rim, just center-right, at the base of the bust.
Do you know if those are plating blisters or some sort of die anomaly? (The rotated reverse got me wondering.)

Actually I'm giving it away, not filing it away. Was going to put it in the mail today but after taking a look at the "bumps" I think this is going to need a photo and some discussion so will hold off mailing it until I can get that done. I also was distracted by the reverse, and although I glanced at the obverse just totally missed that. They are raised and die struck as would be a couple little Cuds, but they look much too much like the tops/bottoms of devices to ignore. No time until this weekend to get to it, so hold that thought...

Thanks TB. Die anomaly is what crossed my mind.

There is something below Lincolns' bust. MAD clash of some kind? John1

Very cool!! I like seeing these different ones. I don't think I ever looked at the backs of the 90s.

Are those Rim Cuds below Lincoln's bust? Or something else?

Bump Did you get a chance to revisit this one yet and look at the rim under the bust?

Sorry for keeping you waiting! What I did was take some photos of the bumps and then sent the coin along on its way. The guy who is getting it likely will also have some input on what they might be, but I need to go back and grab those images and post them. I'll try and get to that today.

Okay, I don't know if this is going to answer anything, but here are the macro images. While there seem to be small bumps far left and right, of the two big ones the left is clearly curved and the right is clearly straight. Kind of like the top of ST of TRUST. But that's all I've got, and honestly can not figure out what could possibly put bits of devices in that location.

Thanks for the extra images TB.
It does resemble the ST of TRUST which seems to put it in the realm of a counterclash. Might not be able to get 100% confirmation on that though because of the limited transfer.
Maybe Mike D. will drop by and add some insight or thoughts.
