Quote: Speaking for myself - I am deeply appreciative of all the time, research and scholarship that @commems continues to share with us. Whatever the future may hold @commems you have created a legacy of numismatic scholarship that will survive all of us and benefit future generations. I enthusiastically agree with nickelsearcher. Commens' contributions have greatly increased my interest in and appreciation for commemoratives. Also, every article sends me to the web to research various historical aspects of the topic.

I see that @commems is now tagged with his honorary CCF title. Hooray! Thanks to whoever in the Moderator world made this happen. It gives commems a unique title at the CCF, commensurate IMO with his unique contributions.

I'm not sure exactly when the title change was made - I noticed it on Sunday - but I am very appreciative.

Indeed @commems - I am thrilled to see your CCF title tagged to your threads going forward. I ask that you rejoice in knowing that you have long ago earned the respect, awe and appreciation from so many of us. Maybe next I'll be asking about a CCF Hall-of-Fame.

Commems has also contributed greatly to the field of Canadian numismatics. I especially appreciate his "Commems Collection Canadian".

Commems should have a coulmn in a national magazine. With the knowledge he possesses I'm sure he could write a book. It would be a best seller in the numismatic world.

Quote: Commems has also contributed greatly to the field of Canadian numismatics Absolutely - and let's not forget his insightful scholarship in other areas including medals and exonomia. When the honorary title petition was voted upon 6 years ago I unfortunately focused on just @commems efforts in USA commemorative. With 20/20 hindsight we likely should have awarded @commems the title CCF Master Historian to cover the breadth of his contributions.
