I really like what Australia is doing these days, but don't sell yourselves short of a contender you wouldn't even think of - Belarus. Google up some of their commemoratives - I think they're issuing some wonderful designs.

I voted other To me all countries put out things I like and don't like. I don't have any country I favor. Canada for example puts out some crappy cartoonish coins and then they put out amazing coins like the 2009 Summer Moon Mask(which I own one of). Isle of Man follows the same pattern. So I am on the fence

I agree. Only 23 votes. I thought our members were a lot more opinionated than this!

I voted Australia, partly because I am biased, partly because we produce a lot of circulating commemoratives.

I voted for China, they are producing fake coins from every other country...

For the variety and quality of their coins, you can't beat Poland, even if they continue to be a bit conservative in design (not necessarily a bad thing, after seeing a couple of coins posted here, lol). Their portraits are just excellent every time out.

As far as purely circulating coins goes, I'd vote for Namibia. The Zimbabwe set, too, was good, but they haven't been struck since the 1990's due to the hyperinflation there.
For overall consistent quality of coins, both NCLT and circulating, I'd have to vote for two underdogs: Singapore and Israel. They may not be vary radical or innovative, but then such things rarely appeal to me.
They're also "real", in the sense that both countries have their own mints, which primarily make coins just for local use, and their commemoratives normally have genuine local significance.
Isle of Man and Tuvalu might make nice coins, but they're really just flags of convenience for the private minting corporations (in this case, Pobjoy and Perth respectively); you wouldn't be able to buy those coins easily if you actually visited those countries.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

good old USA. I am so excited about the 09 lincoln cents and cant wait for the 2010 redesign. State Quarters were cool but I really wish they would make a new standard quarter. also the Jefferson nickels but once again I think they are becoming overkill. still nice looking coins. Of course I only say this because I am not too familiar with international coins haha

I think South Africa mints some great coins. Many gold and silver coins with low mintages.

I voted for Canada. Capable of the best, and of the not so great, too. Belarus also has some very impressive designs. And I'm becoming more and more a fan of Polish commemorative coins.
