I like that all the stars are fully split indicating a very well struck coin. The obverse die seems to have broken down at the dentilation along K1-K3. I also have a difficult time finding any rub on this coin.

you might be right NS however better lighting would help determine that. the surfaces are just a little too dark and a tad out of focus

ANACS thought this was Unc. I agree as I don't see any wear on the coin. I also thought they were a little rough on the grading as I don't believe this is a 0 out of 10 within the spectrum of uncirculated coins. This one should come in this week and will post pictures when it does, although I am not feeling that confident about my photo skills at the moment.

The old soapbars had explicit net grading on label so don't know why they would need to do net grade the way that other TPGs do. Example below:

Sticking with high AU / slider. I don't know if that's a scratch or a planchet flaw. Might not be possible to tell without scoping it or popping it out of the holder, but it's a collectible holder with a straight grade and that probably wouldn't be wise!

ANACS put this at 60, but I'm not sure if that's because they consider it an Uncirculated coin with issues, or couldn't decide between high AU/low MS, or what their reason was.

I would not call any issue in the classic head post-1825 or braided hair Half Cent series rare, not even close. They are hardly scarce in the uncirculated grades. The series as a whole did not circulate much so the survival rate is incredibly high comparing to other regular circulation issues. The mintage numbers mean nothing especially considering they are not accurate to the individual dates.

The last photos make this look like an EF-45 coin. I see all the same markers but holy cow, what am I missing, it doesn't look like the same coin? I can't buy this as MS no matter what the holder says.

That would say a lot about ANACS grading in the soapbar era if this was XF45, lol. I think the issue is that the two bright light source setup for coin photography that I have, works well for lustrous Morgans, but not so well for coppers. The coppers appear very light brown under the bright lamps whereas they look a darker shade of brown under normal lighting conditions. But leaving them dark obscures the color and marks on the surface of the coin. It seems like this is all a process where I am far from capturing images well, especially through an imperfect sheet of plastic. It will take time.

NS I sure hope the coin looks better than the last photos you posted. They were too washed out to get a feel for the true color of the coin. Photo lighting is always tricky.

What your photos did show though is the darker greyish color on the high points indicating wear.
