Submission is now listed as "scheduled for grading". No idea if the medal was conserved or not.

NGC charged me for "conservation" so I assume they did something to the medal. Unfortunately, it wasn't eligible for grading.

well that ain't right... Now we have to wait until it comes back. I don't remember - do you have a 'before' image of it?

I just received the medal back by mail. It wasn't graded, stating "ineligible for grading ". I also didn't notice much of anything of a conservation effort.
I don't understand the ineligibility, as NGC has graded a similar medal before: https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/.../NGCDetails/

Bummer

Oh well, I will place the medal in one of those Lighthouse Quickslabs. Then at least it will look professional.

Good idea. Same size as the NGC holders, so it will fit in with others you may have in them.

Got one of those Guardhouse Defender slabs for my medal. Looks pretty good, actually.

It looks very nice, NumisEd.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
