I can't get any better than that. it is as it looks on the photo. The left of the t from top to bottom are two dots and a check mark. on the Right side of the it's arm pit is a dot. There is nothing more to the mark. It is as clear there as it is under a loop. There are no other markings on that little hump. Directions as you are looking at the coin. If you are thinking of the coin then reverse the left and right. Is there a place on the Internet that I can trace the mint mark myself?

Yeah, I see that too. Maybe it's just too worn, but those two provinces would be the most likely (the 3 dots of water on the character)... and that's about all the identifiers. The right side of the character doesn't look like anything I recognize...

Zakota's posted a better pic of the mintmark, but it still doesn't really look like any of the mintmarks listed in Krause.

Sorry.

My above comment was about the better pic.

Wait a tick, isn't the reverse supposed to have the Province name?

10 cash is the old currency in China, where 1000 cash = 1 tael (~40gr) of silver. It's like ... 1kp or 1 cent in similar value (if a dollar was a tael of silver).

As for the mint, I can't read Manchu but seeing that this is from the later Qing dynasty, I would probably guess Beijing.

As for market value... I don't really know, so maybe $3-5?

Russiancoin: you might get more responses next time if you start a new thread, rather than adding to an already existing one.

This coin is dated, according to the 60-year cyclical calendar used by the Empire, to 1905 AD. This one doesn't have a provincial mintmark; it was struck in the central mint in Beijing. It's listed in the Krause world coin catalogue as KM/Y# 10. In this condition, the value wd1040 quoted is about right.

I know my Russian is not perfect, but I am trying.
I do not see a mint mark on your coin.
It should be on the side with out the dragon. It is flat.

I see your Russian not soo bad ;-)

But what does it mean mint mark?

And if my coin doesn't have this mint mark - it's mean it's false coin?

No, if it doesn't have a mint mark then I think it's minted by the Beijing main mint.
