If you zoom in you can see the gold ( whatever ) under the eagle

I have never seen any gold under the shield .. I guess the shield is applied as clad layer on top of a raw copper one.. would that make it a double die or off center struck?

 All this somehow made this yellow eagle appear under the clad layer one.. so.. it has double die everywhere.. Cuds on rim.. but they a e all post mint or minting errors.. so it's not junk ? |

Grease on front will wipe off, but no way am I wiping it off . It has such an amazing story.. |

 to the CCF No errors or doubling at all. Just some sort of staining. you're mixing all kinds of terms that don't have anything to do with this coin. Strike through, doubled die, Cud, die break, off center? And the shield isn't applied to the clad layer, it's struck into the coin just like all the other devices. Edited by Cujohn

There is a Cud on the rim close to I.. it's documented.. if you will look at where arrows point . There is a void and dent where it says it was struck.. the object is 200 percent viewable on Kennedy cheek as it left the print in the obverse side.. the stuff that has been on it since 1981 is where it broke on rim from pressure ,the oil/ grease , water during die proceds went into the break away at rim.. then drained out to other side where you see it now. that dark spot on reverse side is a break.. and there is a hole in the rim where it was on its side.. and it definitely has DDO.. and the yellow you see.... There was a solid copper piece they put in them that gets clad over it.. that's not light shining . That is another later underneath.. that's why you only see it on the same level no matter where it is seen.. |

I'm real sorry, but 90% of these images are just horrible - at first I thought I didn't have on my glasses.
Good focus is a must for us here to see what you see on your coin. You have it in hand, we don't and have to go by what we see on our computers/phones.

Ya never know - maybe that is the one in a million coin that is actually an error - ? If you really want to find out then send it into a TPG and see what they say - better than asking us unqualified graders Eh? |
