Circular die scratches in that spot definitely aren't unique to that die. Did you see any doubling?

I think you need to request and pay extra for attributions.

Not FS-801 unfortunately. Doubling your seeing is mechanical. True doubling is not present.

It's not DDR-001. I am not seeing any doubling at all. Everything has to match, the doubling and the die markers.

Seems to me like a lot of $ spent on a low value coin just to get it into a plastic holder.

What is the open market value for this coin?

001 is a very recognizable doubled die. If you have it , you'd know it.

Sorry to dredge this up such a long time later. The microscope I was using to take pictures died, so all I've got is a cheap one. I still think that the pics show what I hope to, but in person it's evident that doubling is present (at least to me)

No kidding? If this isn't doubling, would you be able to tell me what I keep mistaking it for then? I swear this isn't a confrontational 'I know what I got' reply. I'm genuinely just asking because I'm I guess confused completely about what to look for.

Of the 2 1982 DDR's, your does not appear to be either of them.

Learning to identify actual Doubled Dies is a learning process. It's not easy at first but you'll get it, especially using this forum
as a guide. Start by checking those links shown above by coinrejector. Try to spot the differences in your coin and the images at the sites.
