I can't say for sure with US Mint products, but when other mints experienced such "golden toning" it appeared to be a reaction between the solution used to wash the coin blanks (i.e., planchets), the housing into which the struck coins were placed and environmental factors (potentially storage environment).

Quote: environmental factors (potentially storage environment). This cannot be discounted. The lenses are not air-tight.

The Mint fulfillment center, the postal service distribution network (buildings and & vehicles), your mailbox, etc.
Seeing as how you just got them, you may have good reason to return/exchange them.

Now I am curious to see how they tone out over the years, I keep my other coins well kept, I have not had any issues in the last 50 years with coins toning or going bad. Thanks for your input and everyone else for theirs, always appreciated....

I had that on a set of innovation coins last year. Returned for a new set with no issues.

This is good to hear and it sounds like whatever you decided to do, the set you keep will be in good hands.

Yeah. I called them first since I had never done a return anything in the past. Fortunately those innovation coins weren't going to sell out. I used the return label they gave me. I can't remember now if I had to make a separate order for the new ones of if they could do a replacement. If it had been a limited production coin it might have been more of a problem.
