The 1 in his picture also looks repunched, in the same way as yours. I don't know why it wasn't mentioned in the attribution.

hmm.. Reverse description for S6 says "Shield points firmly connected to the denticles. Olive leaf away." Olive leaf is away and the right shield point is firmly connected.. but I'm not sure about the left.

KUUUUURT ooooh Kuuuurt where are you?

And I must agree about the people here. I'm still a 'new' collector - still learning about attributing, grading, doubled dies, etc.. I suppose if I would settle on at least one country to collect, I might become an expert in one instead of a newbie in them all.. but I like them all so what is one to do?

And no matter how many questions I pester them with, they're always very helpful. And they explain why something happens, too, which helps us learn, as well.

Colleen, the date: 1nw,9,0 looks like a hit,2s. It is not the S6, (if indeed it is a hit), and there are no other images that match yours.
I would send it to Rick, and it may be a new one, as Kurt suggests.

I would as well, Colleen... as you can probably tell, we're definitely not the experts in these And Kurt can usually tell, so if HE doesn't see a match-up...

I hope it is a new one, that would be very cool to have a new variety attributed to you! Let us know what happens if you do decide to send it in (to either of them). If you don't have the Snow number, DGS just signed up with him, so if you pay the attribution fee (not sure what that is there) he will do the attribution anyway.

Sorry I've been away--perhaps people figured this out?
I'll pull my books out again this evening and check to be sure...

Hi again!
The first time I looked at your 1902, I didn't see an exact match.
What threw me was what looks like a 1/1--but perhaps that's lighting?
Because the date position appears exactly the same as Snow-6

But if you look at the picture in Snow it seems to show the same 1/1.

Colleen, by now, you should have had a reply from Rick. However, Looking at the photos of your coin, and checking the "book", you have a: 1nw,9,0.2s. Also, a possibility that there is a "1" in the denticles. NOT listed. Hope this helps,
Dick

Hey Kurt, did you dissapear agAin? I have been lookng for you, but, so far it has been a "no show". Let's hope it is due to pleasure,, and fun, not something that "ails"you! BTW, since you collect iceland coins, you might contact siggi, on "our" forum.

Hi Dick! I'm still around--and still busy with stuff, including my mining operation.
I'll tell you more in PM.

Kurt, I had forgotten about "that"! I imagine it is leaving you "too pooped to peep"! That type of "fun" will do it to you. "Been there, done that", but with gold. Let's pray the current situation, hasn't made you another of the "well-known" statistics!
We are all hoping you are okay, and doing what you want, not doing what is "necessary", to Keep up!
Sincerely,
Dick
