A bit better afternoon session today than yesterday eh?

What I would like to see next is for the metal's to detach themselves from equities again, go their separate ways, stop following the stock market.

Like what we saw a couple of weeks ago when stocks and the Dollar were selling off and while Gold and Silver were going higher.

Seriously? I must have missed that since it appears to have fallen back down into the ~$65 zone now.

Yes I saw that

I think they had to slam the brakes on it because it looked like it was going to shoot straight to $68 right before the Market's opened.

So tomorrow (Friday) we get the bigger Employment picture for August.

We saw how the metals rebounded yesterday morning when the ADP payroll numbers came in far weaker than expected, 38k vs the expected 58k (which IMHO both are terrible numbers considering the last administration was adding 180k to 200k jobs a month in their last year 2023-2024 and averaging 280k to 300k prior to that, but I digress)..

So I'm assuming they will buy Up the metals today expecting that tomorrows numbers will confirm what ADP reported.

As terrible as it sounds for the economy, which it is, less people working equals less money to buy things, equals less people buying gas and food and driving Up prices, equals lower inflation, equals lower odds of a rate hike, equals higher metal's.

The End.....

Makes sense to me.

Since I'm on a roll today let me add this, just some more food for thought about the current economic mess, the possible future and what it means for the metals.

The stock market is up today, but don't let that fool you. They're pumping it up while they devalue the Dollar.

The stock market was already at all time highs last month, we're already at the top. They can't really get it that much higher with all that's going on. November is around the corner. One way to keep the appearance of going higher is to dump the markets down hard by October then squeeze it by buying it back up, right into November elections.

The only way out of the current economic mess is to print more money. Print a lot more money. this will devalue the Dollar even more, eventually making it worthless. Making Silver and Gold go higher.

After November is behind us, the government will no longer have to prop up the stock market for fear of losing votes, they'll have 2 years to do whatever they want. And they will. The Dollar will be in the toilet, and the Market's will be allowed to crash.

The only safe place will be in Gold and Silver.

Okay that's my rant, I'll put my tin foil hat and crystal ball away for today.

Well it looks like that didn't work, the brakes failed

It hit $68.08 at 11:30am for the December Silver futures.

Giddy up!!

I saw that.

Some Fed dude named Christopher Waller, one of the Fed Governor's, made a comment saying he's willing to support holding rates steady if he sees progress. The market got really jumpy about that.

Tomorrow should be interesting.
