Her name was Hettie Anderson. Sorry I left that out. A beautiful Afro-American.

I have to agree with Moe on the "worst" with the baby eaglets featured.
That is just NOT a good looking reverse !

But that 2008 Proof Bald Eagle 1 oz. Silver is still one of the best IMHO ! LUV THAT COIN !.....

It takes all kinds; I love the baby eaglets.

But my favorite commemorative is one with a ship. And it's the cheapest one listed yet:

Mine has to be the 2006 Benjamin Franklin Founding Father Silver Dollar.
Ol'Ben would be proud.

Am I the only one that likes the good old fasioned Washington? Nice young portrait of George on the obverse, and a good job on Mt. Vernon on the other.

It's really tough to pick out the best designed coin in the modern Commemorative series and I can change from day to day when I look at my set. I personally like the POW coin as it has a lot of meaning to me having been a soldier but thankfully not a POW. It's great coin design but my overall favorite is the American Buffalo/Indian head design because it brings back one of our classic coin design on a Dollar sized coin.

1995 Civil War Battlefield Preservation $5 Gold. Wish I owned one. I've recently gotten into commemoratives and put this one high on my priority list. I find a lot of modern commemorative designs to be cold and lifeless, but this one is fantastic.
