I don't know, something just went funny here. Thanks Superdave for the info. Very helpfull! you guys are fantastic.. let me see if I can work this one out and post a picture of this 1913 coin, lets see. By the way PCGS have a table with all the prices in their website, is this something to rely on when buying a coin?

PCGS' price list is considered rather optimistic; real-world prices trend lower in most cases. They themselves state that the prices listed are for PCGS-slabbed coins only. Your best bet for price determinations, in my opinion, are real-world prices of actual coin sales. Research ebay results, and obtain a free membership at Heritage Auctions (ha.com) to access their huge database of coin auction results and very high-resolution pictures. Another place I check regularly is Collector's Corner ( http://www.collectorscorner.com/ ), because of the large volume and variety of coins being offered there. It being a consortium of dealers, prices tend to be a little high but it's still an excellent indication of relative value.

You posted the pics while I was typing. The photos are clear, but small, so I'm not 100% confident in my estimation here. However, I see what looks like circulation wear on the feathers of the headdress (especially the largest, lower one) and headband, and possibly the same on the eagle's shoulder, which is the first place wear shows on the reverse. If you forced me to choose, based on these pics I'd call it AU55.

How about this NNC I asked before, are they reliable enough for buying?

Well, if I'd buy any graded gold, I'd only buy NGC, PCGS, ANACS. Spend a few dollars more, but at least you can sleep well at night after that.

NNC is worse that NTC, atleast NTC is a third party grader where NNC is a self slabber where a dealer is just putting his inventory in slabs and giving them an outrageous inflated grade in the hopes he will get more for the coin than its actually worth. In other words stay away from NNC at all costs unless you know how to grade yourself and know how to spot fakes

When NTC first started I sent them some Barber conis to slab.
They was actually very conservative.
But, I guess that they have gone a little off track.

My 2 cents worth is send it to pgcs and get a grade, this newbie agrees with au-55, and with that grade, it's still a nice coin!

After seeing the pictures of the coin I say the MS63 grade is reaching a bit. Looks to be in the mid to upper AU class to me. Also when grading is important for resale stay with the big three. PCGS, NGC, ANACS in that order!
