It's a little before the year 1800 limit, but cartwheel 2D coins from 1797 look great

I don't have a huge collection of coins from Great Britain. Of the ones I do have, this would be my favourite. I like bi-metallics.

I am rather partial to animals. Recognize this as Lady Godiva? Whatever sort of animal is on the reverse? 1/3 elephant 1/3 lion 1/3 pig?

So many really beautiful coins posted to this thread! I haven't seen one here that I would not love to own. Below is a crown that I am also rather partial to. Nothing special, but big and heavy (just the way I like 'em).

I do like the ship reverse of the half penny's. The coin that I like the most though is the 1986 Pound in silver.

I have a lot of British material, and my favourites have already been pictured.

I think I will just sit back and enjoy the pictures. Fabulous! Keep 'em coming!

I love my british hammered coins. I have all the Tudors. Henry VII and VIII, Edward IV, mary I, Liz I, it's a lot of fun. I'll try to post pics soon. Enjoy.
