Update: due to my home internet being out for the past few days, I'm going to extend this contest...until I have 100% access again. Thanks for the entries so far--and you have more time to post a few more.

With all the great entries, it was a hard decision...but one coin really stood out: This coin could really tell a story... Fiddler's buried large cent is the winner--congrats! PM me with your info, and I'll send this out. Runner-up prizes to anyone with a qualifying entry: a Lincoln Cent from 1910-1919. To get one, PM me your info--thanks for playing!

The ugliest coin with the most character definitely was the Draped Bust oldie! Nice contest! It was fun!

I've got to admit there was some really stiff competition. But thank you very much DVCollector for the contest.

Received the Indian Head today. I now have three Indian heads in my collection. It was a better grade than my 1900 so it now resides in my 20th century type set.
Thanks again Kurt.

Kurt, it looks like you had a nice turn out for your contest. I just came across it, so missed it completely. Not to worry, you would have not liked my uglies, (just too many to look at)! Dick
