1998 wide = 63

1999 wide = 4

2000 wide = 17

None of these reported, so it may be a great many years before a decent percentage is figured out.
If 2000 is the most common, why can't I find them?

Good question.

I also wonder whether the 2000 is harder to find than the 98, as I also seem to find more 98's then 2000's.

I have no idea as to how many were actually made with respect to the 300 count, that's Ken Potters numbers not mine.

I just want to find my second 99 WAM!

Based on my searching, I've found more 98's than 2000's. I'd like to know why the 98 is considered "rarer" than the 2000.

I have to correct my numbers. The mintage for the '55 DDO is between 8,001 and 16,000.
I have found 4 1999 LMC Wide AM in 18 years.
My count for the

1998 wide = 64

2000 wide = 70

Thank You for all the information

coins1371 - How many total cents do you think you've searched to find those 4 99 WAMs?

I would say a conservative estimate would be approximately 200,000 cents on and off for the last 18 years.
Some months I would go through 5,000 cents, some months I would go through 10,000 and then their were many months that I didn't go through any cents. In the last 5 years I went through approximately 30,000 cents and have not found any '99 Wide AM cents. I've have found many other different cents. The one that surprised me the most was the '84 DDO.

I have found more 1998 WAM= 67

1999 WAM=3

2000 WAM=37

and it is still really scarce for the 2000 WAM, I found a 1999 WAM that looks like a truck had it stuck in the tire and drove around the parking lot for awhile.

I've searched and searched and searched for that DDO, perhaps thousands of 1984's and never found one. I've even bought OBW and loose rolls and not found one. The 84 DDO is very scarce IMO. I'm about ready to give up and just buy one.

I have only been hunting varieties for a little over a year now and have found a few, but the very first and the best one that I have found so far was the '84 DDO. I found it in my cash drawer at work.

Never gave up, you never know what you can find. The 84 DDO I found is pitted on the back. But none the less it's a 84 DDO.
Enjoy!

I just found my fifth 1999 wide A M. Up to now I have also found 21 1998 and 19 2000 wide A M's. I just started looking in March of this year.

1998 = 0
1999 = 0
2000 = 1

Living in Colorado makes DDO's and a lot of Philly varieties and errors hard to find. I have enought RPM's to attempt to attribute when I can get the right tools for the job, until then I just keep sorting rolls.

I know this must have been a typo but no one noticed so I'll bring it up:-) in the spirit of fun.

The original poster has found 4 in 18 years. Isn't 1999 only ten years behind us? I must have missed a decade:-)

Have Fun,

Hi Everyone - 1st post

Have been lurking for ages and finally registered

I was trying to figure this out a couple of nights ago - I must have easily searched around 30 boxes (mainly "String" ones with perhaps a couple of Brinks) in the last 18 months. Out of that:-

1972 DDO-02 = 1
1998 WAM = 19
1999 WAM = 0
2000 WAM = 2

The DDO was a recent find. I also don't understand from my (albeit limited) experience how the 2000 is regarded as common as the 1998?

Foundinrols,

When I said I found 4 in 18 years, I meant I have been searching rolls of LMC for 18 years. It has been 6 weeks Since I posted this and nobody notice until today including me I've looked at this post at least 15 times ;-)
It must of been newbie jitters, That was my first post. Thanks for noticing.
