Early on, I was "around neutral"......but now I'm generally on the "like it much" side.
Let's just hope they keep this design for 50 years and don't get "change design happy".

It's ok but I think the designers initials are too large. That's what doomed the VDB on the first Lincoln Cent. People complained about it.

maybe they will chaNGE IT EARLY ON TO MAKE THE INITIALS SMALLER AND WE WILL HAVE ANOTHER COLLECTIBLE COIN.......which would be really nice

I could not go to "astonishing" but I would go above my vote of "pretty good" but those were the categories! It is an excellent replacement reverse with a classic look and appeal!

I like the new design and went with the "Pretty Good" ... I do wish they had placed the scrolled "One Cent" a little higher on the shield ... for some reason, with the scroll near the bottom the design looks a little out of balance.

I voted pretty good. I like it better than the other two Lincoln designs. That might be a good poll for someone to put up...Wheat vs Memorial Vs Shield.

Doing some genealogy research, it turns out that I am related to Leonard Swett, a close personal friend and advisor of Lincoln for many years. Kind of makes me want to start collecting Lincoln Cents now. Hmmmm...

I voted "pretty good". I got my first look at an actual coin today, and picked up a couple. Funny thing is, I live in Western PA. My local flea market guy had D's, but hasn't got any P's yet.

I'm seeing a lot of these 2010 First Day Issue Graded Lincoln Shiled Cents on ebay. Will these be worth any more years down the road just because they were a first day issue? Seems to me they would not be, seems like a gimmick to me, but would like to know other's opinions.

I voted "pretty good" as well.
I expected better, but it could have been much worse.

I voted pretty good as well. As a long time cent collector I remember the introduction of the Memorial cent very well. While I could suggest moving the ONE CENT legend to below the shield along the rim, I guess I can live with it. Just waiting to see it in-hand......

I think for 2010 they should have done away with Lincoln all together. 1909-2009 leaves a nice, round full century to commemorate a great President.
