its also according to who deemed these coins this variety. If it was some that no one elkse could authenticate then you ripped someone off, if it was the real deal then since I don't know the the value of errors someone else will have to tell you that answer

Or at least clarification of what type of coins!
I think it's funny this thread is getting so much attention with so little to go on. I post pics, questions, etc and can't seem to get a reply sometimes!

these have all been posted here with picts. pillars of this community and a local expert have concluded they were all the real deal. And the picts are in my preveious posts. Id put them all up again, but with the problems I've been having with doing anything on the net, I'm lucky to be here as we speak. One was a 94' DDR-003, the off center strike was approx. 20% S/SW, both in high AU to MS. The rest were all the same grade as the above.

jasper62, that sounds like a multiple personality response. Could you give a different response to clarify?

Soooooo.....Are we talking Lincolns? I have yet to see that clarified. Did you sell these on ebay or to a local collector? IF we're talking Lincolns AND IF you sold them on ebay THEN I think you were fortunate to have a few people that wanted those coins REALLY bad A) I wouldn't have come close to bidding $250 on the DDR B) the 20% would have to be something really special for $50 (still don't know what year we're talking about) Otherwise, IF we're talking Lincolns AND IF you sold them to a local collector EITHER A) they may have been a newbie collector OR B) they wanted those coins REALLY bad These are just my opinions, I know I would rather wait and find my own DDR before I'd spend $250 on one. I don't think it's that special of a DDR. I'd rather spend $250 on a key or semi-key. As far as the %20 off-center, again it would have to be really special like a low mintage date or mintmark or at least a semi-key. As far as the $100 for the 70-73's, I MAY have given you around $3 each for any that I needed for my collection, but probably not for 30 of them. Again, just my opinion, but I think you made out like a bandit, especially on the off-center that you don't feel good about, IF we're talking Lincolns. If we're talking another coin(s), new rules would apply. Maybe I'm off base here, I'd like to know if any other Lincoln collectors would have paid those prices.

I am not a lincoln collector nor a error collector so I wouldn't have paid that much for them. But I would say you did very well on the sell from what I have seen others of the same sell for if thats what you are asking

joe: you seem to assume that everyone here reads your posts, and should know what you are refering to. I actually have seen some of the previous posts you refer to, but not all, and quite frankly - I am not interested enough to sift through your previous posts - to find out the rest of what you are talking about. not to mention that newer people here might be interested in your questions. you might treat each post as a stand alone comment or question. to assume that everyone here knows what you have posted previously - seems a bit arrogant.

IF that is the coin, you should feel bad about $50! MINT_MARQ told you about $15, and I he think he was very generous given it's condition. I'm with dbrablec on this one, I didn't want to have to search through posts either, only to be lstill left wondering if these were the coins in question.

Soooo, some ansewers for some. Ill start with a top dog. Right after telling all again about what it takes for me to get from start to finish to start up a new post with pictures. First I'm on dial up(which sucks way more than I'm fixing to tell you). So just to get to this site takes 7 to 12 minuets. then 4 more min. to get to MV&E forum. then, same amount of time to get to photo bucket. Then from two and up to as much as fifteen minnuets to put a new photo there, to then paste it in the new post. then, four to eight min. after I click "SUBMIT POST". So, In the future, for the fact that some readers would not know what I'm talking about, I'll direct them to My archives here as opposed to the previously mentioned time above to get that picture to a new post. Guy's, It takes a very long time for me to get Anything here. And I came here, originaly, because it was obvious that this site offered the correct, right, and proper information and help from the names we all know we can trust! The fact of a fifty post min. before you can sell here just compounds the richeousness of what goes on here. And without you're help/encouragement/(and now 'brow beating', I would have given up long before now. I wish I could personally look many of you in the eye, shake your hand, and thank you so much for all words! Both good and bad. Bryan1315 gets the next reply

Oh, first off , I should change name here to LINCOLN, cause my posts will always be LMC's. And the rare times it's not, I always specefy. but I will consistantly specify ALL from here on. sorry. So Bryan1315, you have a few issues with joefinds . I'm going to do all to take care of this here and keep any of these issues from repeating themselves. So , as for the "Ripped someone off" quote, It starts off with my post coin being approved by at least one of you (Pillar of ..) And if I'm only sligtly uneasy with your approval or lack of, I ask more questions, get better or different picts , ect. And when I hear the words "Definatly", or "Nice find!", is the only way I would show or sell it anywhere. And the people buying are given the same info I recived by showing these post's to them. Along with that coin's information-picture-grade-and price for that grade. I don't put a pricetag on it, I simply allow them to make an offer that they feel comfortable with. The most recent buyer, I even went further and gave him a new copy of the Potter's book I have and his own magnifier. The other buyer is a longtime family friend that has been collecting for more than fourty years. Not just errors or cents, but All typs of coins, currancy, tokens, forign, stamps, and more than you could guess or I could say. Verry well steeped with knoledge in any area of any of the above mentioned. He buys all the other things I don't post here. Lots of morgans, lots of currancy, and always more than happy to pay cash for the quality condition and hard to find items he takes. I know all owners of my sold items are all good with every transaction. They keep coming back, again and again. My parents brougt me up right. I live in a small town where word of mouth goes everywhere in no time. lived here for thirty years and dont plan on moving. so I cant live here if I was doing wrong. The comunity would not let it happen. So, "hat's all I have to say about that"("forrest Gump") MOre ansewers after my kids have fun at the carnival. and , if the reply seems long, you asked for the ansewers.
