Dumb question but do all web notes have the W on the Top Right before the Serial number?

Richard, I am not aware of a W in front of the serial number. The 2 links below talk about how to identify a web note. Hope this helps.

One of the best explanations I've seen is during Wheezydog's contest from Suiol:

I'm on a run

Web-Note-Find!

Another web found in a strap of ones from bank. This one is a common 1995 BH block front plate 6 back 8 but still I'm pumped.

Siuol,
I found it when I was searching some ones. For some odd reason I remembered part of your notes #'s and realized it was part of the same print run.
Congrats on your latest find.

From run 15 - last of the 88a runs with high alpha to boot. This was from fed strap dated 4/23/10. The note does look as bad as the pic.

Had a customer at work hand me this:

Web-Note-Find!

Web-Note-Find!

Again a common B..H but this one is run 8, front plate 5, back plate 8. As you can see the note would be in great shape if this Katy hadn't written on it in blue ink .

I don't know who this Katy is but if I did I would have a stern talking to about writing on note before you know their value .

Looks like your area MAY have more from this block. You need to track down Katy or her significant other to see how many more they have to toss away. Always a good feeling when you find the webs.

I think it is more a fluke than anything, but it would be cool to find more and keep up the run .

This note is in AU condition. It has a slight crease mark below the right sn and the lower left and right corners have a tiny tiny bend. Someone had this all these days and just released it as it appears to have gone through a bill counter only once.

Based on the averages for this thread someone should find another soon. Siuol, this is from the same block as your first pic (my second) and is from a fed strap dated 5/14/10.
