I have to say that for all the flaws our money may have, I've seen a lot worse. I'll take a canoe or beaver over a dead president and stone building any day of the week.

It was George Washington himself who wanted Liberty on coins, not Presidents!
He'd be the first one to agree with you...

That is a great coin indeed. I need to find out where I can get a whack of dollars and fifty cent pieces without paying coin dealer's premiums all the time.

Maple Leaf

He's referring to the dot between the "T" and "S" in the tiny initials near the inner circle there.

Hi, looking for advice on this con:

searching for 1964 silver dollar, RCM sealed, found many 1964 sets and also separated dollars, while sellers say, that those dollars weren't part of the PL set.

Were all 1964 Dollars produces as PL / BU (is it actually the same?), or other finishes found.

In bottom line, I also search for one to put in capsule, for my set.

They were also minted for circulation.. more than 7 million in fact.

Thanks, twoplustwo

Yeah, I usual to RCM NCLT coins, and didn't take in account circulated ones.
I seen a lot of graded - did the people took out the coin from circulation and sent for a grade? Those (coins) have more "natural touch" than coins from the PL set...

The 1964 dollar had been released in plio plastic alone by the RCM. It is not a dollar that I like I prefer the 1949 and 1958 wich I like their design.
