I don't care about the value...I just want to know if this is known on this Proof.

I did another photo and it is the same. It is slightly rotated. Are all of them this way or just this die? The Photo from the mint website shows EPU as straight and on mine it is not.

Anyone else?

I just checked mine. It does not appear to have a rotated reverse.

mine is perfect, and from your pictures yours isn't rotated enough to be considered a error, now I can take pictures of mine and it will probably look rotated just because I may not be standing in the same position I was in in the first picture or when I flipped the coin over it rotated a small amount

Mine hasn't even arrived yet :( I ordered it within the same hour they went on sale!

I just visited my favorite coin store today, and the owners let me look at the proof version straight from the mint.

Frankly, I do not have $800 to spend on a single coin, but if I did, that's the one I would buy.

Regarding the rotation, the one I looked at didn't have it.

OK I got out the protractor. I Did two different measurements and got 7 degrees both times. Yesterday I tried to measure my photographs and got 8 degrees.

I showed it to two jeweler friends of mine, they both said it was rotated.

THIS proof IS rotated!!!

I'm thinking it's about 7 degrees off but i'll go with the range of 5 - 8 degrees off.

The error book says rotated errors start at 15 degrees.

But this IS a Proof, Gold 50 Dollar Buffalo coin with about 7 degrees of rotation.

My main collection is error coins but I bought one of these to go with my 2001 silver buffs. And for the mint to send me a rotated coin is just awesome, thanks usmint.

Sharktoy, if you have a proof then the the holder it came in is square so line up 2006 to be parallel and flip the coin over.

If you have an unc, then it is a different coin but you can still check. Use an airtight or some holder that dosen't allow the coin to move.

I then used the container the coin came in and found dead center and marked it on both sides (put clear tape down first)
Then I centered a protractor and lined up 2006 to be parallel with zero degrees and taped in place so it woundn't move. I then flipped the coin over and put a staight edge dead center and made it parallel with EPU and IGWT and looked at the amount of rotation. I just measured a 4th time and came up with 8 degrees so my average is 7.5 degreees of rotation.

If only it was 15 plus degrees, but I don't think there will be any so I'm happy with 7.5.
