Brad - It kind of smelled like perfume to me, but it definately had an odor. It's not a risque subject really. It was in the ANA Numismatist mag.

The coin actually has a scent? Amazing! Also, notice the date on the "leaf" side; I wonder if that is how most people would be writing the date after extended use of the featured product?

Yep, it is scented! Yea, the date is funny. LOL No matter if you like it or not, it's a beautiful coin IMO.

Benin 'eh ? I'm surprised that California didn't use the design for their State Quarter.

That's a good one!

Thad: I was joking. I saw these in The Numismatist too. Any word on your '24-D at PCGS? I looked up their pop report and 65 is the highest they've ever graded a '24-D in RB. I'm sticking with my MS64RB for now!

Brad - I just gave it to my dealer. It will sit in his vault until he's ready to make a submission. This is going to take at least 2-3 months, he is slow and PCGS is slow. I'm in no hurry but for only $25 it's OK with me.

topmost coin celebrates medical marijuana, only 40 minted in gold,if you go to their Saltspring mint you'll catch the scent as soon you step off the ferry, and can probably find a holder for it made from hemp in a store there.

You are killing me Thad!

No way do I have that kind of patience. You could send it to me and I'd submit it as my quarterly special.

Speak of the devil!Mine turned up in the post today, both in premo condition. As for the smell, they are bringing out a rose and a lily version of the coin, maybe its one scent fits all, although the scent did make me laugh.
I think the date was done on overtime on a Friday afternoon
