I don't see the logic to secretly selling coins to people(businesses) who are buying them only to sell them for a profit*. That would be like selling concert/game tickets to scalpers before the general public. I understand why not a single person I know has any interest in coins whatsoever when they have no chance to experience nice coins. It's not like the mint is releasing anything interesting for circulation. At least older coins were nice to look at and were actually worth something back in the day. *I'm sure there are some people who actually spend that much at mint.ca because they are collectors and not just dealers but I bet it's the minority. |

 Always remember if you are interested in Non Circulating RCM Coins, always wait a few years. Regardless of the mintages or whether they sell out in the first week, they all go down in price. Once the novelty of owning a particular RCM coin wears off, they are on the market far less than they were sold from the Mmint! Glenn |

I have to respectfully disagree with you here. If your interest is contemporary circulating coins, then today's coinage is much more interesting than that of forty or fifty years ago. Besides the standard coins, you have dozens of circulating comms that can be found in pocket change. Also the looney and toonie add two more denominations that were not available back in the day. Finally, coins back then were not worth any more than face when issued. The same is true today. |

The 1981-Date Proof CA Comm Set is getting pretty Large.

From some past threads on here it seems that the coins that aren't for circulation are getting to be ugly and uninspired as well. |

Kyrio....I like the CA Comm Series. Allot of diversity. Unlike our US Plain Jane same old thing every year. (With HUGE mintage's).
Not to disagree, just to each his own, thats what makes this fun.
