Maybe this is stupid question but how to tell difference between bronze and copper in this condition?Colouration?Weight?

in 1943 the pennies were made out of zinc(?) plated steel. so they were silver in color.

something happened in the mint and a couple bronze coins were minted

You know the story about the one that got away? Well, I know a guy around the corner who says his dad left three of these to him. I offered him 50,000 dollars for his best one, cold, as soon as he related the story to me. He stammered and backpedalled, saying he was leaving them to his grandkids. But I do know where he eats lunch....
