Yes Troy....'certificado de plata' means silver certificate....this is the back of the note. I would imagine that the face of the note bears a strong resemblance to a 1923 U.S. $1 silver certificate.
Neat find.

I'm not sure what happened the original post was a 1917 2 dollar bill now its a pic of my 1938 1 peso?

Maybe it is a 1917 U.S. $2 note on one side and a one peso Cuban on the other?

Yeah, that looks a bit more horse blanketish....another neat note....I do not own one as far as I know.
