Thanks for all the comments everyone. It was a real pleasant surprise to find the card. I figure it was a christmas gift given to my mother when she was a child. My Mom has passed away so I can't show it to her for memories. I think I will slip a piece of paper in the little book and close it to protect the coins. It will be a good item to pass along to my son as a remembrance of his grandmother.

Was thinking about the card mostly (I like it). Hadn't thought about the coins touching but a sheet of non-pvc plastic should work as the divider.

Definitely leave them as they are. The coins have a very small monetary value that can be replaced, but the card has a great sentimental value that can't be

A reminder of bygone times. Pretty nice, there's more than one kind of treasure and you found one.

Considering those have been in there for all this time I wouldn't worry about adding anything in between now. Just put the entire thing in a Zip Lock plastic bag, push out as much air as you can, seal and let it be as is. Or send to me for safe keeping.

I would think any paper put inbetween them needs to be acid free paper to avoid speeding up the coins tarnishing.maybe someone else has a better idea of what to use.

There are a ton of people who like that kind of toning (myself included), and the OP may be one of those people. Nice sentimental find!

Somewhere I saw a full page mylar holder. You might check a comic book shop or at Amos to see if they have any large sheet holders for uncut bills.

I would place it between a couple pieces of Plexiglas (or actual glass) like the Capital holders. I realize that the card has some thickness, perhaps using a piece if similar thickness material (same as above) to hold it in place. And keep it out of direct sunlight, it would fade the card quickly!

What about just framing it open and hanging it on the wall, it would make a great reminder there.
