Ditto to that coppertop. I live in the rural midwest, so I have all small town banks to pilfer through!

I go to college in a city and live there during the week and I live in a small town and go home on the weekends so I get a little bit of both aspects of banks, rural and city...and I think it's the rural areas that have the most "treasures" because it seems that there are less collectors. But that's my based on my findings/observations. And another thing is that it always seems that everyone else is finding stuff but you, I've felt that way many times. Eventually you will come across something you just have to be persistent and go with your gut instinct.
@jnesbitt: I'm a college student trying to further my education, what would make you think I would drink? :) hahaha...

here's a good question: were you a member of this bank, or did you just call them? I've found I have trouble reaching the actual bank branches when I call, because I get routed to some headquarters instead.

obla,
I have accounts with this bank. And it was a "chain" bank but it was in a small town. You get your call transferred to headquarters? That's never happened to me. Here's what I would suggest....get on your bank's website and type in your zip code to find banks in your area. This will not only tell you how many of their branches are in your area, but it will also give you the phone #'s of these branches. Then call each branch, ask for halves, if they have any, ask them to hold them for you and then go pick em up.
