Adam, I do not see a country associated with this user, so if he/she is in New Zealand or Singapore or something, common LMCs may not be that easy to come by.

As already mentioned, I too did not see any particularly rare or valuable coins, at least off hand. If that's the case, it may not be worth it to sell them as you most likely won't get much if anything at all. If you still want to sell them, I would sell them in lots.

These coins appear to have been heavily polished. If that is the case then you will probably have a very hard time selling for anything over face if at all. I hope you have not done that to them all.

Quote: The condition of the majority of the others is very close to these. The coins in the pictures are relatively low grade and have been polished or cleaned, sorry. I agree with Tim, cleaning coins is never a good idea. I would sell the silver and older classic coins, and it might not be worth it to sell the non-silver coins, especially those post-1950.

My grandpa originally had these coins, now I have them. I know he used to clean them and put them in the holders that they are in now. And he started collecting them in the 70's because of some old ones that he had found. I started collecting a little before he gave them to me, but I never polished or cleaned them. And I don't think my grandpa polished them, but I do know that he cleaned them. I got them 10 years ago and I haven't touched them since, they have just been in their slots, and I know he didn't like to touch them either.

Oh, these only looked polished because of the flash. When I was just comparing the pictures to the actual coins they look very glossy. It's just from the flash. They look normal in person. Can someone tell me about these pennies though? Why do they have presidential stamps? Is it from a carnival machine or from the mint? http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c...lpennies.jpg

Check out the 1970S Small Dates. Depending on the condition, they might be worth something more than face.

I know the hold sentimental value to you but as far as collector value they are what they are.

Welcome!
I would sell the silver and hold onto the rest. In time work on completing them. If you REALLY need cash, you can just spend the quarters/halfs/dimes. But if they are AU/BU you might want hold onto them if you would like to have some completed sets in the future.
