These are exceptional coins, these three slabs. Wow!

If NGC didn't identify them as cleaned, then, for my money, they're probably not. One would have to get a look at 'em through a 10x loupe to be sure--I imagine that things get by PCGS or NGC from time to time. I think, though, that if anything they err on the side of caution.

Correct Answers

Indian Head cent - cleaned
Indian gold Dol. - cleaned
German mark - not cleaned (MS 65)

P.S: The pictures are not as good as having the coin in hand and so cannot be used to judge the shape of a coin.

Here are some new coins for this game. I really can't decide whether it is cleaned or not. What do you people think about this coin?

You don't write that the coin is from the ''coin doctor''
This man I am sure is one of favour costumers of PCGS.Always acquires big grades for his coins.
I am sure If I slab the same coin for me It will take a nice 63

haha Spot on Epop! Yes it was slabbed by PCGS.
Still learning the art and science of grading. Why do you think it's a 63 and not a 65?

I didn't say the coin is not a ms65.If you and me send the coin we will bring ms63.The grading companies are conservative when examine collectors coins, and the opposite with big big dealers.Instead of this the coin is a real beauty

It would be more helpful to us all if those who say if a coin is cleaned or not, to give reasons for their opinions.

They are strict on those pennies probably a BR or RB that someone tried to turn into a RD with a dip. It is tough to tell from pictures but more obvious in hand when you inspect the coin under light.

Both the Rupee and Mark appear to be cleaned and dipped. You can see on the Rupee how the toning is streaked along "Emperor" and under and to the right of the date; almost certainly cloth rubbing. The Mark has long fine lines on the obverse and appears to have lost quite a bit of original luster on the obverse v/ the reverse. I don't see much wear so I suspect that came from cleaning.

I think the mark looks orginial (luster) but the rupee looks cleaned
