sorry its been a long time. but I ended up making my own shims out of cork, for the opa tokens. they came out really nice and you cant even hardly notice it in there. I also made a complete Canadian Dansco album collection too. for 1¢ to $2. I'm still in process, still have to put the dates on 4 albums.

Nothing in particular. My request is mostly for the benefit of anyone looking for a solution. Post what you can, but do not feel obligated if time prohibits; your examples above give everyone a good idea what you are doing. If anyone is lurking, feel free to request something specific!

Very nice!
So did you make your own labels with a laser printer and some clear adhesive pages?
And I would like to see how you got the shims to work.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi, I use transfer paper. I print a mirror image from my computer, and print on the clear sheet. Then I peel off the backing on the sticky page and "stick" them together. Next I press out any air bubbles, you can usually push them with your hand. Next I cut out each date with scissors. After that I remove the backing of the sticky part, and stick the date label where I want it. I then take a coin, the gold dollar coins work good and run the label into them page. So it sticks good. Finally I use a razor blade and try to hit a corner to get the white part of the transfer paper up. Not a very quick process but I am happy with how "MY" books look. Oh ya I just used my regular Epson Printer. Not lazer, just inkjet.
As for the shims, I made my own too. I took a piece of cork (gasket thickness) and just cut out a little tiny piece. I put the cork in the album first then push the coin in next. So it is a really tight fit. Took me a couple times to get the right size for the cork. Like I said, it took me forever but it turned out nice. You can see my shims in the picture with the red OPA Tokens, if you look closely at the top of the tokens you can see a tiny piece of cork. Just enough to hold them in place.
Made an entire book set for Canadian coins. 1c, 5c, 10c, 25c, 50c, $1 and $2. Now that the books are done I just need to start filling them with more than recent common year coins.
Hope Than Helped Rob
