Lighthouse is a German brand. I don't know if they are also producing elsewhere.

You would be shocked at how many German, Russian, Polish and YES, even USA products are MADE IN CHINA.

Ain't THAT the truth! I'll bet some of us even have coins from China that we thought were from other countries. I know I do.

Regardless of where it's made, it's still a handsome case.

Received the case today
Seems to be a very good quality made in Taiwan (surprise!)
Nice and solid, capsules do not fit real tight in the holes but probably shouldn't anyways. Looks exactly as the picture at the beginning of this post. Any other questions please let me know.

Not a question but if I were you I would not put any coins in there until you spent some time smelling that case for any gass emeissions due to newness. Just in Case.

If the coins are going into capsules first then I would not be too worried about it.

However, one can never be too careful; as just carl said, just in case.

When you do put some coins in there, how about a few pictures for your loyal readers?

I have seen these cases in person, they are high quality and very nice looking. From what I have seen that picture does NO justice for the actual product

Lighthouse has been making high quality display stuff for coins and stamps since 1917.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I was just thinking about it after seeing it at Wizard. Not sure how I missed this link before, but they have it for $50.99

It was also discussed in this thread a last year (with the same link)...

It is a very handsome case, not sure why Lighthouse didn't also make one for the state/territorial quarters, now that that set is complete. My only quibble is that there is a removable tray that can be dropped and damaged, necessitating a replacement to the tray itself. I am looking for a case similar to the rip off shows that just shows all 56 quarters at once, but like justCarl states, I wouldn't trust them if they were made in China with all kinds of gases emitting from them affecting even coins in airtites.

Appears many missed that statement.

Because it is not Lighthouse that is making them, it's Taiwan. Yet like many things made there, does appear to be one of the higher quality items. Yet I'd still would have put a few ordinary coins in there first.
