It might deserve a 64 in my opinion.

The seller says MS-63, but I also thought it seemed a bit under graded.

I believe I'd happily give 63 money for that coin.

I don't wish to drag this thread off-topic, but I ask everyone reading to go look here:

Thanks everyone for your opinions.

Would you say the 1898 in this thread is roughly the same grade, or better/worse?

Thanks Again

Just bought my FIRST Morgan, and I think I got it for a reasonable price.

I don't think it would ever be a 65 even in a dream, I actually think 63 is pretty close and 64 is a possibility but if I were buying it I would pay 63 money for it

I paid quite a bit less than MS-63 money, so I am happy with the purchase.

I'd also like to see bigger pics, but I wouldn't have a problem buying that as MS-63.

Cool hopefully it is as nice when you get it as in the photo. There are a few times I've ordered a coin online, got it in hand, and had to scratch my head and ask "is that the same coin?". There are some very good photo wizards out there.

Yeah, I hope its a nice looking coin. If its not, the seller has a 7 day return policy.

Received the coin today, along with the 1884-O I purchased from the same seller.

The reverse on this coin is much better than expected! From the pictures, it looked like the eagles left wing had some problems. I guess it was just the way the picture was taken, because I only see one mark on the reverse. (Right above "We Trust")

I also didn't notice all of the die breaks in the sellers photo. One die break starts at the end of the letter "E" in "united" and then through the "D" and then through the eagles right wing. It also looks like their is another die break starting in the middle of the "D" in "united" and stops at the beginning of the eagles wing. The last Die break is visible in the photo; it starts at the denticle above the "S" on "States" and then a half moon shape, back up to the denticle above "F" in "Of"

Overall, I am very pleased with this coin.

This is a good example of a high end MS 63.
