The D coin,so far,has been the hardest to locate.I have one also.Mine does not match any of the markers shown at Wexler either. In fact the coin is at Wexler now to determine if it's an unlisted die. They are not impossible to find. One guy found 4 Denver mint state coins in his jar of cents.

lincolncentresource had the D listed as extremely rare, but I don't know how often they update the site.As people learn about them,I think more and more will show up. I had never heard of the WAM's until October when JoeyZ76 posted one on a different forum.

Check your coin against Wexlers listings again because my 1988-D has just been added as a discovery/new listing. my coin is 1988-D 1¢ WTRD-008 http://doubleddie.com/278743.html

Congrats Joey! I think. I mean the more of these that are discovered, well, not good for the rest of us! I looked at your listing, but the mintmark is in a completely different place. Mine is directly under the first 8 and tilted slightly to the NE. I e-mailed Mr. Wexler and explained that, of the mintmark locations he had posted, none of mine matched. So, I was wondering if he could check it against the 3 (or 4?) that did not show mintmark locations and he said.... pay me.

Don't get me wrong! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT have a problem with the man getting paid!
I just thought maybe he would tell me that it resembles die #x, or Hmmm, maybe that could be a new die.

I didnt "just find" this one,I have had it over a year already.
3 bucks to get it attributed aint gonna get no one rich...lol
hes a very busy guy, probably gets 100 emails a day.
if you are sure that it does not match the die markers of any of the pictures...then send it in.
forget the mintmark for a minute and only check the die markers against the pictures on the site

Quote: No mintmark placement was shown for dies 1, 2, and 4 but none of the markers matched on those, either.

Well Scooby, I don't think it's too bad yet...I see a lot more 99 WAM's pop up on here than 88 RDV-006's. I haven't checked mine for die number yet...might never.
