Old coins can be in just as good condition as new ones. It just depends on if they were kept safe or stored, or if they went out and got circulated. They look good to me but the pics are kind of hard to tell.

If they were cleaned, I'd like a gallon of the cleaner...they look untouched.

A gallon? Heck I want a tanker full. Imagine the money to made on a product that could do that. If only it were so.

Nice cents! No reason to believe they where cleaned. If they were worn down and shiney then worry.

It's not too hard to find LWC's from the late 50's in this condition when going through large lots. I've even found some roll searching.

The 1949-D would be somewhat harder but doable.

Keep these safe, my friend!

I was only worried cause my mom works as a cashier and she got these as change. I guess she just got lucky that day.

Brandino - with the economic downturn, a lot of people are the change stashes that they've accumulated over the last few decades to buy milk and eggs. There are more and more of these finds out there. That's what makes roll hunting so fun. Last year I picked up 6 boxes of Lincolns that had been hand rolled. I ended up with about $15.00 worth of BU 1978-81s. Oh, yeah, and about 97% of the boxes were copper cents.

If somebody cleaned (dipped) them, they will be completely clean. Since these shows some spots, to me it is an assurance that they were not cleaned.

just because a coin has no spots does not mean it was dipped, there can be blast white coins or perfect wheat's that weren't dipped. it is common for coins to have spots, though.
