Well, I'll say the US postal system is great at doing it's logistic job. Packages are rarely lost and they usually arrive quickly. Besides that they do a poor job managing costs and general operations. They should get rid of media mail, it's abused badly by ebay sellers, and costs the system tons of money. The wy they handle personal and costs is terrible. I don't know how much longer we'll have a national postal system, I see the government giving it up to the private sector if this goes on much longer. |

Anyone know where one can purchase Copper bars/bullion? Provident metal does, but was wondering if there are any others.

I highly doubt that the Canadian government or RCMP would step over its boundaries to capture a lone profiteer. Just google Marc Emery.

Thanks Bherring. I try to avoid ebay as much as possible, but it does seem like everywhere else is double melt. Is this b/c copper is still not considered a precious metal? |

AOCS mint makes copper rounds and sells em for 35$ a roll...at least its better than the prices on ebay |

Copper will continue to increase in value. I bought 100 one pound bars for $350.00 I hope to get back $1000 within a year from now.

coppercave is almost out of stock on everything!
provident metals might have to be the place to go, but they're asking 2x spot, as well as about 50 dollars shipping to canada :(

I consider copper to be a poor man's gold. While the rich men have made tens of thousands and millions of dollars from gold, I am just hoping to make a few bucks of my copper bars. I like to have them in hand so I buy the real thin rather rhan buying it on margin.

coinsoldier, where in Canada are you purchasing your Bars?
Also, Is copper considered a precious metal? I am planning on purchasing a few just for having them b/c some of the polished ones look real nice. But if I do decide to sell, where would they actually take them, aside from scrap yards?

coinsoldier, I collect and sell copper pennies so don't get me wrong...however, I am saying if you have a sure thing, then go for it.Right now am making about 80% profit without having to wait or gamble because I have no idea what it will bring tomorrow.

The money in copper (or anything else) is in turning, not hoarding.
Ever see a supermarket buy tons of kaughy, then hold it for a price rise?
