As far as Memorials go the 1976D and the 1978D are hard to find in AU or better condition. And of course the small dates 60P and 70S.

No key dates are easy to find in circulation but thats what makes it fun the not knowing whats in the box.

You forgot that famous 1974 Aluminum. OH, OH. That might start that argument again.

I've never heard of a 1974 aluminum cent, but then again I'm not a seasoned coin collector. I just mentioned the wheaties. When I buy wheaties I get 1921's and 1923's, but never 1922's. Oh well....

Just stick around here and every once in a while some topics start over and over. The story of the 74 Aluminum one was just ran through not long ago. And lets see those 55 double dies.

Wow, sorry you had to let them go. Sounds like you got a great deal though. Getting back on your feet and meeting your best friend....all from 2 pennies. Good luck with your searching, I'm right there with you. 2 boxes and a handful of rolls. Bah...I need to get something better than my loupe to look through all of these.

Yeah I am looking at a device that is a camera magnifier that you slide the coin under and you see the whole coin on your computer, But that is in the Future Future when the wife decides she will give me my allowance again.

That is the one I'm thinking about too. A few years ago they were on sale at Walmart for Christmas but not since. They were a lot cheaper there than other places so I'll just wait.

A risk of being in the wrong forum, could you tell me the first initial of said camera/magnifier device? or? :) or if I started a thread in the right forum, would you come by and say hello?
