EF-45 due to all the marks on the devices. And is that a little die break on the left wheat stalk?
Neat!

Nice pickup, I'd say XF-45, but I'd want to see it in hand to be sure. It could go AU-50 on a good day, but I think there are too many hits from circulation.

I think I can go AU-50 on it. Think of this. You've got the earliest known die crack in Lincoln Cent history. Nobody can argue with that.

Quote: And is that a little die break on the left wheat stalk? It sure looks like it. I hadn't even seen it until you pointed it out. I'm not sure I've ever seen a die break on a Lincoln Cent...

Moe145, refer to them as a "die crack" when they come in from the rim like that in a thin, raised hairline. A "die break" is just much more extreme. They're the steel die actually falling apart, and will manifest in a "cud." FWIW.

Quote: Moe145, refer to them as a "die crack" Yes, SIR! (Also FWIW: I referred to the anomaly with the same term the questioner used).
