If you go to https://www.WheresGeorge.com and register, it's pretty simple and straightforward.. I did this quite a bit the last three months.. Then I just stopped caring..but that was due to external happenings.. I might start again soon.. I've been getting hits in Connecticut instead of plain ol' Michigan lately.. So I guess I will restart..

No wonder you can't find George! I am he, and I live in Australia. I have had a strong interest in ancients for more than four decades, and I have had a copy of the Roman Imperial Catalogue (RIC) for most of that time. I have spent most of life learning what I can on numismatics that covers the last 2,500 years. I love learning in this area, and I have not stopped. And I have done most of this on a fairly restricted budget. After all of this time, I guess that I know bit, but there a few in the CCF that know a lot more than I do! Whaddya know? that was my 1111th post! Double legs eleven!

Quote: Have not seen one in years! Last one, I did register. Same here. I have registered a few, but I have never marked them. Actually, I lost interest when I started seeing the bills marked with the website. By the way, as this topic deals with paper currency, I am moving this to a more appropriate forum.

Every time this topic is brought up here I say the same thing... Do you know how many people consider coin collecting a waste of time?

Well, I don't know if it's a waste of time but if time is so valuable to some coin collectors why are they wasting it on this Paper Money section of CC . I don't collect coins because there just to metallic and cold looking, I collect older US Paper Money and some newer stuff because it's so warm and colorful and much harder to find in nice condition because it is paper. To each his own, but I think ancientcoinguy said that as a joke, it's now evident that some coin guys cant take a joke but still for some reason come to the Paper Money section of CC, maybe they think there missing all the fun we have, or maybe there spying on us for reasons only known to them Caution coin guys, Please don't take this to serious, I'm only joking with ya. Please collect what you like, if you like those cold metallic round things have at it The Bill Collector

^^^I agree Bill. I really couldn't care less, about coins. If I happen to get one in change that looks interesting, I may (or may not, depending on my motivation to do so) look it up online, to see if it's anything special.....but, I rarely ever pay enough attention to coins I get, to notice anything like that. Paper is where it's at, for me.

Whenever I get one in change I enter it. I have definitely seen a drop in how many I get in the last two to three years.

Can't we have both? Paper and metal? My currency collections are moving along as much as the others.
