Interesting. I did want to point out that from what you have posted, if sounds like you have committed fraud by selling a coin you believed to be fake. Even if you weren't 100% sure if it was fake or not, you said you thought it was, you can't hide behind ignorance if you believed it to be fake or probably fake, especially if you had means to determine if it was fake or not. Not to sound further negative, but I would assume all coins purchased at a flea market to be fake, especially for the price you paid, unless you had reason to believe they were real. Interested to see how this turns out.

A sharp eye, Adam!

As Adam pointed out, some of the combinations of date and mintmark that you have designated for these " Trade dollars" you found don't exist within the Trade dollar series, such as the 1885 CC and 1882 S. However, these combinations are found within the Morgan dollar series.

And as David pointed out, as excited as I was (and as most of us would be) to think you might have stumbled upon such a rarity at that price, it's difficult to be confident in the authenticity of a coin bought in such a manner. I wouldn't do anything further with this lot of silver dollars until you go about authenticating your purchase.

They are defiantly silver . For if they are silver made replicas I am not sure but the guy wouldn't make me an offer if was
He seemed very eager to buy it

im sorry to say, but IMO this coin is fake

the dot next to the 1 in 1870 should not be there and the texture of the coin is all wrong. it was sand casted.

can we see the other coins?

I have to agree, the texture is off and the details are very indistinct.

i can guarantee that coins 1,5,7,9,and 11 are all fake/fantasy pieces, I'm not sure about the others, I need to compare both yours and actual ones graded by pcgs.

I can see the seams on most of those coins so the ones you can see the seams on are definitely fake, and that puts the rest in a high percentage of being fake as well. Not to mention we all know the 1885 is a fake because they didn't make any Trade dollars after 83 so I would go back to that jewelery store and tell them you found out the coin you sold them is fake and purchase it back before you see yourself on the news and have the police knocking on your door. If you think it won't happen just look in the paper and on tv from the pawn shops that have gotten taken like this, they have their picture and stories in the paper asking for information to call the police so they can press charges. I am sure a jeweler has video cameras so you will probably see your picture on the news soon if you do not do the right thing. These are not contemporary counterfeits so there is probably no silver ion them at all so you couldn't even sell them for silver content until you have them essayed but I am willing to bet not a single one has any silver in them at all, they are just layered with it if they pass the silver test. The fakes that are usually silver was made to circulate beside the originals and these aren't any of those. all of these are newer counterfeits not any of them are contemporary.

I agree with Bryan, I don't know the facts, but as I posted before, from what you've posted, you committed fraud. Stores are taking things like this very seriously because they are getting taken for thousands of dollars. I would go back and tell them you've learned that the coin was a fake, or is very likely a fake and offer to refund the purchase price.
