People really are that stupid. When I tell friends that I hunt silver in rolls, they think I'm crazy, or worse yet, just ignore me. I don't have to worry about being robbed, because most people I know have no idea PMs are worth big money.

ALL PM owners who store their own PMs should be concerned about robbery. It is one of the biggest threats to our stored wealth.

Complacency is one of those things that occurs just before disaster hits. Remember, they once called The SS Titanic "unsinkable". Well, we all know how that worked out.

Guard and protect your PM stash. Keep it a secret. People you know may be fine but they might tell someone who isn't.

Even if you weren't a collector you should have somewhat of an idea. It is shown on the stock market too!

10 cents an oz...are you kidding me.

LOL! Gotta love this comment. My son once asked me, "Dad, how come you are always buying stocks when others are selling them and selling them when others are buying?". I told him that, "My job, as an investor, is to make money and their jobs are to provide it!".

Hmmm... people... sheep... zombies... sheeple... sheezombies?

I was just kidding about not being robbed. Believe me, very few people know that I collect PMs, and only my wife knows how much it's worth. My stockpile is very well protected.

Around my county thieves have been breaking into cars simply for loose change, sunglasses, GPS units, and anything else they can make $10 on to get some meth or crack or anything else they can fry their brains with. If they found some silver in your house they would certainly know to take it to a PM buyer or a pawn shop even if they don't know exactly what it's worth. My PM's are adding up to the point where I'm starting to doubt the ability of my top quality bolted down safe.

At some point, it might be wise to diversify your holdings as to their location. I also have a very well bolted down safe and am planning to keep a considerable amount of silver therein. That said, if I were to buy a tube of gold coins, I would probably store them in a SDB at my local credit union. They have a very secure vault room and manned 24/7 video / audio surveillance. While this is not 100% secure, it IS pretty darned good and much better than my home safe. Not having all of the eggs in 1 basket is a very good idea where PMs and other valuables are concerned.

Mark Dice is well known in the San Diego area. In fact, this video is filmed just outside of Carlsbad Ca. (about 25 miles from where I live). He makes amazing video interviews which are less than flattering commentary on the general knowledge level of U.S. citizens (at least in regard to history and economics)

Watch the youtube video which reveals how some American citizens actually do not know why we celebrate the 4th of July.

He's also made videos, which reveal that U.S. citizens do not (and cannot name the rights guaranteed by the first amendment. In one video he circulated a petition to REPEAL the first amendment, and 50% of the people he asked (on camera) actually signed it!

One hopes there were dozens of refusals between the random idiots who really would sign such a thing...

I don't agree with everything he says or believes - but no question about it - he really makes you think!

Rest in Peace

Who was it that was campaigning to end the "suffraging" of women, and 3/4 of the women were all for signing up since they probably were confusing suffering with the right to vote.

This thread has gotten me to watching the Mark Dice videos again. You owe it to yourself, to watch the one where he gets people to sign a petition to REPEAL the first amendment!

If you can watch this stuff and not be afraid for the country - you're a braver man than I!
