I don't leave feedback any more for the sellers I buy from and the people who buy from me. Since ebay changed their feedback policy they have rendered construct feedback obsolete. Sellers cannot under most circumstances leave negative feedback. The only instance that comes close is filing a non paying bidder report for the buyer who does not pay for the item(s). So since buyers can only receive positive feedback feedback for buyers is useless. Sellers can't get negative feedback unless the buyer goes through the proper procedure to do so and the vast majority of buyers would rather not go through the trouble so bad sellers don't get the poor marks they deserve so buyer cannot gauge a seller by their feedback. I have had sellers practically beg me to give them positive feedback and I don't cater to beggars.

Well, the seller has really done nothing wrong from a technical standpoint. A buyer won an item, the seller sent the item and it was exactly as described and pictured. It really wouldn't be fair to leave negative feedback unless there was a piece of wood between the end coins. LOL

In principle, I agree with you. These "unsearched" scammers have been selling on ebay for years and making big money off junk. There's been many posted here that clearly bought their tools of deception ON ebay (i.e. old bank wraps and tools to make shotgun rolls) and then proceeded to list "unsearched" rolls.....and buyers bought them. I blame the buyers for being ignorant. As they say about a "fool and their money...".

with BadThad. And ebay is in it for the money so they're not anxious to shut a seller down. Too bad.

If you don't want to buy it, then don't. Nobody forces people to buy these rolls. I know they are junk, therefore I do not buy. Some people buy just for the kicks.

To each their own I guess.

Even Chinese counterfeiters that purport to sell coins with "COPY" stamped on them don't seem to ever get negative feedback after the coins get delivered and are not as advertised. They should rename ebay to caveatemptor.com.

I agree with BadThad....and don't forget that the buyers are just as bad as the sellers in this case...I really think they deserve each other.

I have never had to leave negative feedback. I have left two neutral ones though. This is how I look at it,

Positive - happy with it, maybe had problem but seller corrected quickly
Neutral - a small problem came up but not that severe or not worth sending back
Negative - felt like I was ripped off but not bad enough to get ebay involved
ebay Protection - Seller is the scum of the earth

Even from a buyers perspective ebay's jumped the shark. (Sorry had to use it) I've had a rough time clearing my name in false automated unpaid complaints. Where I pay at the store for the item. And even when proving a listing was a scam, they wanted me to pay for it then contact them if the item doesn't arrive. LOL After the seller had 0 feed back, two of the three people pushing the price up had 0 feed back, I was the third. and then he wouldn't let me pick it up. Even at a public location. When I tried to get his contact info, he said when the item gets to you it'll have my information on it. When I used ebay's contact all his information went to dead ends. It was a BMX bike that my 12 year old couldn't control his normal habits and finally used my account to bid on something. Good thing he had to ask me for the money. And yes he learned a lesson!

Sometimes I wonder if the lack of negative feedback to the sellers is due to the fact that so many buyers won't leave feedback until the seller leaves feedback for them first. Seller scams them but doesn't leave feedback and the scammed buyer just keeps waiting for feedback before they will leave it.

I also think that a LOT of buyers still don't realize that the sellers can't leave negative feedback and they don't leave a neg in fear of a retaliatory neg.

I've certianly left lower DSR scores for folks. I've not had opportunityy to leave negative feedback. Am to understand that if I were to check the box for negative, that I, as the buyer, would not be able to do so without some sort of significant hassle?

I never leave below 3 stars unless the person was a total scumbag....and I maintain that no one should because of the unfair 'standards' ranking system ebay uses that is solely based on 1 and 2 star ratings. Get ONE PERCENT 1/2 star ratings in 'item as described' and you're 'below standard'...and its against the rules to let buyers know this!

I saw the auctions for unsearched roles and decided I would look at the feedbacks to see if anyone
actually received a rare coin from the rolls. Most sellers, even with hundreds of feedbacks, just did not
have someone saying "RARE COIN FOUND."

Thus, I chose not to partake in the bidding process. When in doubt, check back through the feedbacks and see
if any rare coins have been found.

As for negative feedback, a buyer can leave negative feedback. Sellers, on the other hand, cannot do so. Thus, I think the equation on ebay needs to be revised. It is not seller friendly.
