I don't see any wear, but it has the look of a coin that was lightly cleaned and retoned, so I am thinking MS details

I will go with AU-58+. I think I see just the slightest hint of wear on the right knee.

I don't think it has wear, but I agree with a POSSIBLE old wiping/dipping, but maybe not enough to get it a details grade. It still has tons of luster.

I'd say AU-58 also.

The area with possible wear on the knee is a common area for Seated Lib dies to have 'soft' details. I'm sticking to MS judging by shield, clasp, and Eagle.

All in all, amazing coin!

The toning is a bit odd, I'd have to say cleaned at some time...

Beautiful coin, I'd go high AU all day.

It looks like there is wear on the front of the hair. I'd say AU.

Very nice! Looks like the slightest amount of wear or contact marks on the highest points of the eagle. That and the little hairs in the fields might hold it to AU58. Still one of the nicest I have seen. Did you pick it up raw or bust it loose?

I got this one raw on ebay. I purchased it about a year ago from Randell Holder. I've forgotten what he called the grade on his listing.

EDIT: By the way.

I grade it about $500+.

Pretty much agreed with the others - high AU, old cleaning recovering beautifully. Eye appeal is off the charts for the grade.

Holder gets some stupid coins, doesn't he? I graze his listings regularly just to see how nice it can get.

There is no way this cannot be at least an AU-58 with all that field luster. The devices aren't quite as frosty though. I would call this an AU-62. ;-)
