I have never heard of a "true halfclaw"?

Has anyone noticed the mark on the platypus near the small claws? I found around 10 of these the other day and a few of them have this same mark in or around the same area. It looks like a small part of the rim of a coin has been imprinted there.

hi mate I just had a look at the coin, I would grade it as aUnc and I dont not think it is a true halfclaw so you might get a few dollars on ebay. chrisn. :) |

I thought that the half claw was the mint mark for Wales.
Is there another type of half claw?
Does anybody know what the mintage numbers were on these?

From what I know its 50m or something? There were 165m regular 1981 20c and I was just just about to say around 1/3 have a half claw but McDonalds guide says 50m.
