Hello. I don't know how this would work out, but it would be nice to have a instant-messager type thing on this site, to talk quickly to other members that are online. Thats okay if it's a bad idea! If so sticking with email will be fine. Thanks, Chris

Hey Chris,

We did put some serious thought into this when we started the forum. There are a several reasons that we decided against it.

1. The private messaging system is not really private. Admins can see them. We researched some other forums and found that on several of them, users were suspecting that admins were reading their messages. Although we would never do that, there would always be suspicions.

2. Spam. It would make it very easy for a spammer to sign up in the middle of the night and just start PMing members with casino junk or worse. Hundreds could get out before we could catch it.

3. The whole purpouse of the forum is to share information. Conversations would tend to start going back and forth in PMs and thus defeat the purpose. We all like to share.
