I had a friend of mine give me the November 2011 issue of National Geographic. In it is an article showing the person who found the huge Roman treasure in England.
Recently, I obtained a White's Eagle Spectrum from the same friend who gave me the magazine. He is 93 and it was his metal detector. (Basically, he gave it to me.)
It turns out the person who found the treasure was using a White's Eagle Spectrum detector. I know this is pure coincidence, but for some reason I really got a kick out of it.
Not, to hit a few places before it gets cold here in NC. I look forward to my first real sweep.
