To everyone who played my 5K giveaway.
When I did my 5K giveaway, I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate my 5000 posts, and share some coins with collectors. I wanted my giveaway to be open to all of you, but I was not prepared for nearly half to be international CCF members. There would be no problem with that, if international postage had not taken a steep climb recently--the post office tells me it's $3 to send a single coin in an envelope. As much as I like sharing these coins, I can't deal with that expense right now--I am sorry! My apologies. If I can find a cheaper way to send these coins to Canada, Australia and Europe, I will get them to you.

I merely like playing competitions (the prize is not the prize, know what I mean?)
thanks anyway => "account closed" => paid in full

Oh you could ask for postage to be paid or.. Maybe a kind volunteer will take on the bulk of the coins for each country and send them off individually to the correct persons. Just a suggestion, I'm not involved in this :D

The coins I sent within the US cost me next to nothing--no problem there. And the best news of all--I found a way to send mail intl. for 1/3 the cost.

We all know the cost of shipping. I, myself, can not afford to ship multiple coins because I have no income. I think everyone understands that some people do not have the extra money.
It was the thought that counts. I think everyone can live without their prize. I did not win anything, but I truly understand your dilemma.
I wish I was able to contribute some money to your paypal account to help pay for the postage.
You may just have to do what some others do.......... limit the contest to just your country to help save on shipping.

Ummm sure ... that sounds like an awesome idea, DVC ... (I can't wait until you're in one of my contests!) ... hahahaha ... but honestly => when you give my dog-coin to that little dude, you have to somehow force a tear in your eye and you have to say: => "Little Johnny ... this coin is from one of the greatest coin-collectors of our time ... he is humble, yet he is gifted ... and although he is not here today to pass-on this great gift, know in your heart that he is and always will be with you in spirit while you're collecting your legendary coin-empire!) ... and then shake his hand and say that you're not worthy of stevex6's respect ... and then cry one last tear ... => and then we'll call it even ... deal?

Not quite right, Steve...... is there a pic with some blood in it? That would be more like it.
Bring Moe with you, if you must. He might be able to protect you. It might work.
You know that story of the 2 men running away from the charging lion? One guy says to the other. "I am not sure if we can keep this up and out run that lion". The other guy says, "I don't have to out run the lion, I just have to out run you".
So, come on down and don't forget your running shoes, you sweet thing. MUAH!
