I have two Silver Chinese Sycee (one large and one small) I am trying to get more information on, they have been in the same family for 100 years.. If you can help me with the history, rarity, and maybe a connection to a professional dealer I would greatly appreciate it. More images are located here: https://imgur.com/a/CdJUiThank you very much for your help. Moved to Bullion forum - Sap

On the large one, one of it's stamps reads "Shang Hai" (right) and another "5" (left). The center stamp doesn't make much sense to me, and the stamps on the small one are illegible.
Based on the font and the fact that the large one has Shanghai stamped on it, i'd put the sycee at late 1800s at the earliest. Could be as new as early to mid 1900s.
Please don't pawn it off! I would hate to see something with so much history be melted down, and I can't that see your average dealer would be knowledgeable or interested enough in sycees to do more than that. PM me if you are looking to exchange it for paper money.

Zeng is the name and Ji means firm or something. Found a similar one with the number "7": http://artist.socang.com/ArtistProduct/967721.htmlThe web says it weighs 1828.3 gram and is from early 1900. The double diamond symbol is a kind of authentication from a third party. And here is a "3": http://bbs.sssc.cn/viewthread.php?tid=743793I can only recognize one character from the small one.
